Cobalt blue glaze is applied as a finishing touch; this famous unique glaze gives the teapots its distinctive look, helping to keep away unsightly tea stains. Adderley Ceramics strives to create a high-quality version of the original Brown Betty teapot, using only the original and esteemed red clay first discovered by the Elder Brothers.
